Throughout the country there are 84 non-profit nursing homes, of which 13 are in the department of Colonia.
Months ago it was possible to obtain a 50% discount on the UTE rates, a proposal made by the legislator together with Cobian (Coordinator in entities for the social welfare of the elderly in the Department of Colonia) in the Health Commission of the House of Representatives.
“Now I am extending this request to the Antel Board of Directors and the Ose Board of Directors. This would be a very important relief for the commissions that these households maintain through the support of the population. It would be a way to collaborate. The Commissions have to work hard to be able to cover all the costs of the basic needs of those who reside in those homes,” said the legislator.
For the State it is not a significant outlay, so we understand that nothing better than the State to help the elderly, one of the most vulnerable and important sectors we have in our country”, added Reisch.
