Deputy regrets Venezuelans’ limbo

More than 140 thousand Venezuelans reside in the Dominican Republic, a population group that the official deputy Ramon Ceballos warns that he is in a legal limbo.

Ceballos, an overseas deputy, expressed concern about the situation that the Venezuelan people are going through, following the elections on Sunday, in which the president Nicolas Maduro claims to have won, are unknown to some citizens.

However, the legislator and psychiatrist considered that the Organization of American States (OAS) The Secretary General of the organization cannot take the announced decision to request the Criminal Court to arrest Maduro, declared Luis Almagro.

“This cannot be. Venezuela and Nicolás Maduro are not members of the OAS; they resigned from the OAS, so one sees this from a publicity point of view,” he said.

He confirmed the concern of the Dominican Republic, expressed by President Luis Abinader at the OAS, where he supported the Venezuelan people.
