Deputy Ortega assures that exclusion from the Summit of the Americas is an act of cowardice

Diputado Ortega asegura que exclusión de Cumbre de las Américas es un acto de cobardía

This Wednesday, the deputy to the National Assembly (AN), Saúl Ortega, in the program Café en la Mañana, which is broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), assured that the fact of not calling Venezuela, Cuba and Nicaragua to the Summit of the Americas is an act of cowardice.

“The fact of not calling Venezuela, Cuba and Nicaragua, I see it as an act of cowardice. I think that Biden (president of the United States) feels diminished by the leadership of the presidents, Nicolás Maduro, Miguel Díaz-Canel and Daniel Ortega », he highlighted.

He also stressed that the Summit of the Americas is at its worst, “this summit is a failure from the central point of view of the person who convened it.”

On the other hand, he referred to the international tour of the President of the Republic Nicolás Maduro, highlighting that “this is a mechanism that totally breaks the blockade and as a political initiative,” Ortega assured.

“Our president is leading Venezuela as an outpost of Latin America and the Caribbean, in Euro-Asia,” said the Deputy.
