On his side, the candidate for senator for the Dominican Revolutionary Party, for Greater Santo Domingo, Fernando Ramírez, pointed out that the measure announced by the Ministry of the Interior and Police, to prohibit entertainment centers from selling alcoholic beverages from twelve midnight, would cause the definitive closure of many commercial establishments.

“It is a discriminatory way regarding the business sectors in the area of entertainment and sales of alcoholic beverages, it is a bit irrational and unfair in the way the subject in question is treated, because it is not unknown that places of recreation of those areas, it is now that they are beginning to recover from the economic consequences caused by the stoppage of the famous COVID-19 pandemic”, Ramirez noted.
The also vice president of the Dominican Revolutionary Party, assured that said measure would not achieve a reduction in the delinquency and crime rate in some sectors.
