After the deliberations on the electoral process that took place in the Central University of Venezuela (UCV) Last Friday, June 9, the president of the National Assembly (AN)deputy Jorge Rodriguezexpressed that both the graduates of that house of study, as well as the parliamentarians and all Venezuelans, must demand a true democratic system for the “House that overcomes the Shadows”.
“From the elections at the Central University of Venezuela (UCV), only one fact can be rescued as positive, which is having evicted the fascist, thief and criminal, Cecilia García Arocha, from her lair,” Rodríguez said when evaluating the mechanisms used. during the elections to renew the university authorities.
He narrated some of the irregularities that occurred during the long-awaited electoral process. Among these, the rejection of the Ucevista authorities to the support that the National Electoral Council (CNE), entity that guarantees audits, modern equipment and transparency.
Rodríguez called the attention of his counterparts by pointing out that it is not a matter of qualifying the process as majestic, but of recognizing that up to now the official results are not even known, “which demonstrates the lack of seriousness and lack of clarity of those who assumed to carry out out the elections,” he said.

For his part, the deputy Ricardo Molina He described the electoral commission of the university as inefficient and irresponsible, which five days after the elections were held, and with a participation of approximately 24 thousand voters that barely represent 11%, the final results are still not available.
But, in addition, he had to remember that this Commission published some previous results on Saturday the 10th, at 2:17 pm and at 9 minutes it withdrew that report from circulation and published: “The Electoral Commission informs that due to technical errors at the time of the preparation of the published tables, the results appeared in incorrect positions.”
In addition, it indicated that the private company hired by the UCV to manage the electoral process did not allow the counting of votes to be observed. In turn, he said that the fundamental reason for these facts is the privatizing vision of who is still dominating this house of study, since They have as their motto the old Republican custom of “act kills vote”.
The assemblyman reiterated his complaint against the electoral commission for issuing partial results through his social networks, by placing a candidate as the winner and then presenting excuses “for the mistake.” And he predicted that, most likely, the positions will be filled by those who suit them, always masked under the figure of university autonomy.
He commented that those who reach the different positions will have to face, with impetus, the rescue of the belligerence that the UCV should never have lost. He urged the ucevistas to take direction and work, regardless of the results, since they are undoubtedly not a reflection of their student population.
Finally, Molina was emphatic in expressing that fascism cannot continue to take over spaces in the UCV, so it is necessary to open real spaces for discussion that contribute with proposals for the country.
