Deputy Hugo Saavedra: MP must focus on cases of regional corruption

Deputy Hugo Saavedra emphasized that it is essential for the country to definitively unmask corruption, which allegedly has existed for decades, in PDVSA and other public companies.


The deputy of the National Assembly for the state of Táchira, Hugo Saavedra, stated that the Public Ministry must continue to investigate the fight against corruption, but focus on regional cases. In his opinion, in the Andean entity you continue to see people with businesses, “prosperous, private planes and millionaire waste in nightlife.”

“These characters, popularly called plugged in, who are nothing more than common thieves who have stolen the public treasury, must also be brought to justice and captured as soon as possible by the Venezuelan anti-corruption police, since we cannot afford to have them flee to other countries and do not pay for your guilt”, said the leader of Copei.

“The latest arrests carried out by the Public Ministry of senior officials belonging to the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, suggest that the correct application of the Law is possible and that in this country, justice, even taking time, will arrive Saavedra added.

He described as positive the operation “Caiga Quien Caiga” where ministers, deputies and governors are already under arrest.

“Now, this vulgar robbery of more than 40 billion dollars made to our oil and mining industry, was not perpetrated only by these criminals alone. It is an open secret that in the country there are hundreds of alleged implicates who are still free and who have dedicated themselves to legitimizing capital, by orders of the PDVSA ‘capos’, following there very happily as if nothing, playing the musiu, continuing his flagrant criminal career, ”said the spokesman for the green awning.
