The parliamentarians of the National Assembly (AN) approved this Tuesday by a qualified majority the appointment of the deputy, Francisco Ameliach, as the representative of Parliament before the Council of State.
From the Federal Legislative Palace, parliamentarian Pedro Carreño presented the proposal in accordance with Article 252 of the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, and in accordance with the Internal Regulations and Debate in its Article 130.
“At the beginning of the legislative period, this chamber must designate a parliamentarian to be the representative of the National Assembly before the Council of State. In this sense, the Bloque de la Patria proposes to fulfill this task the colleague, deputy Francisco Ameliach, who has been performing this function in the period 2021-2022”, stressed Carreño.
At the same time, he recalled that Ameliach served as president of the National Parliament, governor of the Carabobo state, minister of the presidency during the administration of Commander Hugo Chávez, among other positions.
