This weekend, part of the group of dissident deputies from Cambio Democrático (CD) met with the bases of the group in the area of Churuquita Chiquita, in the Pajonal del Norte of Penonomé. Among the deputies present were Dalia Bernal and Yanibel Ábrego.
At the end of this meeting, Bernal took the opportunity to attack the president of CD, Rómulo Roux, expressing that “there is no name for us to describe the president of our glorious party that without him putting a single economic resource and one vote, we set it up as President of Democratic Change”.
He added that they (dissident deputies) believed that Roux would represent the grassroots of the collective. At the same time, he declared “a person without a conscience, who only thinks of profiting from the Cambio Democrático party and manifesting that 15 deputies do not represent a vote for him, but when he needed these 15 deputies, he walked without paying a penny, getting on a a boat without knowing where he was going, getting on a plane without thinking who paid for that plane. It makes me sad, he does not have even an iota of credibility for us. For me, as a deputy that I am, he is a great idiot , he has a culillo, he is aculilla’or because Ricardo has the votes and even if he says that Ricardo is not going to be let go, that he continues to believe in his scarce, minimal and retrograde mind.
According to the San Miguelito district deputy, Roux “wants to destroy the party that we put on a silver platter and thanks to us, Yanibel’s work team and 15 of us, Ricardo raised his hand so that he could be a candidate for the presidency. And to get to where he got to, he sold out because for the concept of all of Cambio Democrático, we won the presidency of the party, but unfortunately with a smile and his big ears he says that he lost”.

Bernal challenged Rómulo Roux to go to the elections, “that he dares to see if he is a real man, a real gentleman and if he is not afraid of these women who are working and men, so that Yanibel is the president of the party Democratic Change and Ricardo is our future president, and the change is already.”
He stressed again that the current president of CD is a “man with a sting, his ears don’t let him think because he doesn’t listen to the power of the people, he doesn’t listen conscientiously to what the grassroots are telling him, but he He is letting four rascals take over who do not give themselves training, etc. ” He added that Roux rented cars in times of pandemic, paid for hotels when they were not working, “thank God everyone has realized the kind of person he is and the small group of those who follow him, I say this with conscience own because I know all of them and I know a little bit about each one.
For her part, the deputy Yanibel Ábrego was not far behind and reiterated to Roux to turn to the polls for a democratic election. “In every political team, it is added, not subtracted, and we have to add to win the next elections. We want Cambio Democrático, together with Ricardo Martinelli, to govern again in 2024,” she specified.
He said that the bases deserve respect and that Rómulo Roux cannot perpetuate himself in power, “you are used to being given everything and we are not going to give you one more position.”
Ábrego emphasized that Roux is afraid to confront them, “we want to go to the polls and that is what our bases are clamoring for. At the national level, our bases clamor to go to an alliance with Ricardo Martinelli, we do not want an alliance with the Panameñista party.
