The deputy of the Citizen Community (CC) Beto Astorga said that the commander of the Police, Jhonny Aguilera, is a politician and not a uniformed man. He added that he is lobbying the Government so that when he leaves the institution he will be installed as minister or vice minister.
“It is evident that Aguilera plays a more political role, he is one more militant of the Movement Toward Socialism and not a policeman with training to defend citizens and his comrades (…). He makes merits and strictly complies with what he is instructed, nothing strange that when he culminates as commander, we see him in the Executive as minister or vice minister, “he said.
After journalists, police officers and landowners in Guarayos were kidnapped on Thursday by assailants with firearms, Aguilera referred to the incident and described it as an “altercation.”

Astorga questioned the attitude of the owner of the olive green institution, since he considers that he underestimates a fact that could end in a tragedy. He emphasized that it is not the first time that the uniformed man minimizes actions that have to do with sectors of the MAS.
“There was a frontal attack by bullies against journalists and police, and it is shown that the commander is in collusion with these groups that have been arming themselves (…). Mr. Aguilera is one more member of the Movement to Socialism and his interest is to protect these criminal groups from the Movement to Socialism, ”he said.
Press unions also criticized Aguilera’s statements, because journalists were gunned down and tortured. They also announced legal actions for justice to identify and arrest these people who act as paramilitary groups.
