The deputy for the Movimiento Al Socialismo (MAS) of the ‘evista’ bloc, Héctor Arce, accused this Monday the former vice president Álvaro García Lineraafter the flurry of accusations that the ex-presidents launched over the weekend.
“Unfortunately we came to the conclusion that brother Álvaro García Linera is disloyal and ungrateful,” criticized the Parliamentarian at a press conference.
Arce maintained that Garcia Linera turned his back to whoever was his running mate in the presidency for 14 years in power, siding with the “renovator block” or ‘archists’ who criticize, as well as the opposition, the maximum leader of the MAS.
According to the deputy, after the social conflicts in 2019 that led to the resignation of Evo Morales and his entire cabinet, Álvaro was far away from Evo, did not hold any meeting or visit in the Cochabamba tropics, to appear today “giving recipes and recommendations” in television programs.
“Why didn’t you organize workshops at the national level to strengthen the revolutionary spirit, or why you didn’t participate in meetings and congresses?” Arce questioned.
For the pro-government parliamentarian, the former vice president became a renovating or ‘archist’ political analyst, to try to “saw the floor to the presidential spokesman”, Jorge Richterand “remove” him from office.
The deputy’s accusations arise after Sunday morning in an interview on his program on the cocalera radio station Kawsachun Coca, Evo Morales referred to Álvaro García Linera stating that he is “one more enemy.”
“In summary, I would say that I have one more enemy; 14 years as vice president and it hurts a lot. Is it because I am indigenous? Or is it because we are loyal to the principles of our ancestors? I just have to say, Thank you Álvaro”, said Morales.
