Antonio Gabriel Colque, deputy of the Movement Towards Socialism (MAS), reappeared this Friday and denounced a scheme to dent his honor. It is the legislator was recorded asking for a job for a third person within the Judicial Council.
the assemblyman declares himself “innocent” of the accusations and announces legal action against those who -According to his version- they took him as a “scapegoat”, denting his “dignity and image” and that of the sector he represents.
“They have put together a plot based on speculation that undermines my honor, my dignity and my image. 14 days have passed since the accusations and to date there is no formal process against me”, said the representative of Potosí at a press conference.
At the time, the Magistracy reported that the recording is of an “untimely visit” by the MAS deputy, recorded in November 2021, with the purpose of “request the appointment of Mr. Osmar Colque as conciliator in the department of Oruro”; however, the appointment did not materialize.
“They denigrated me as a person without principles or valuesincurring acts of racism and discrimination, of which you can be sure that I will take the corresponding legal action against those people who accused me,” he emphasized.
The scandal caused the resignation of Marvin Molina from the position of president of the Council of the Judiciary. Given this, the Bolivian Association of Magistrates (Amabol) requests a judgment of responsibilities against him.
