The members of the Labor and Health Commission of the National Assembly request from the Executive a financial report and projections related to Bill 163, which seeks to reform Law 51 of 2005 of the Social Security Fund.

The initiative also includes the demand for information on the formulas used to ensure the sustainability of the new pension and retirement system established in the law. Yarelis Rodríguez, vice president of the commission, explained that this request arises from the concerns of society and the Legislative Body itself, who lack numerical data that would allow evaluating the economic viability of the reform, and if it is really beneficial for the Insurance Fund. Social and its affiliates.

For his part, deputy Crispiano Adames expressed his concern by stating that they are currently “studying, but without a study plan,” since so far the government has not presented any actuarial or financial analysis to support the project. The request for information stands as a crucial step to clarify the implications of the proposed reform.

When questioned, Dino Mon suggested to the deputies a seminar for Saturday, where he could personally explain the financial actuarial projections of this reform project, which bothered those present, since they consider that citizens should also know it. .
