Deputies from Morena ask for a license to campaign; add 22 in five states

CDMX Congress

The Congress of the capital is the one that adds the most licenses. So far, 11 local deputies from Morena have been allowed to step down from their positions from March 15 to April 8:

  • Miriam Valeria Cruz Flores.
  • Alberto Martinez Urincho.
  • Nancy Nunez.
  • Gerard Villanueva.
  • Jose Fernando Mercado Guaida.
  • Jose Octavio Rivero.
  • Leticia Strada.
  • Valentina Bates.
  • Carlos Miron.
  • Xochiltl Bravo.
  • Yuriri Ayala.

These licenses were granted after the opposition stopped nine requests, which with another four that had already been granted, added up to 13 legislators from Morena who would be separated from their positions.

Chihuahua Congress

In the Chihuahua Congress, the entire Morena bench, made up of 10 deputies, would be asking for permission to withdraw from their seat to promote the revocation consultation “full time.”

Licensed deputies will be separated into two groups. This week the permits were formalized for:

  • Benjamin Carrera Chavez.
  • David Castrejon Rivas.
  • Maria Antonieta Perez Reyes.
  • Adriana Terrazas Porras.
  • Rosana Diaz Reyes.

The first group of legislators is absent from March 22 to 30, and it is expected that the following week they will join:

  • Jose Cuauhtemoc Cervantes Aceves.
  • Indhira Ilse Ochoa Martinez.
  • Magdalena Renteria Perez.
  • Gustavo De la Rosa Hickerson.
  • Edin Cuauhtemoc Estrada Sotelo.
