The new conflict arose after the member of the Electoral Tribunal of Aguascalientes, Jesús Ociel Baena Saucedo, filed a citizen lawsuit before the TEPJF against the Chamber for not foreseeing an affirmative action in favor of the non-binary community in the process of election of counseling of the INE, in which he was noted as a member of that minority.
To resolve the appeal, magistrate Janine Otálora Malassis asked the Chamber for screenshots of the microsite and formats approved by the Political Coordination Board (Jucopo), together with the call for the election of directors, and to know if the applicants were asked make the gender precision or what options were presented to you to identify yourself.
However, on Monday, February 27, the Chamber refused to deliver the request on the grounds that “it does not have the required documentation, since it is in the evaluation stage of applicants by the Technical Evaluation Committee and it lacks the powers to intervene in the decisions of that CTE.”
Considering that the request had not been addressed and failed to respond, Judge Malassis summoned the Jucopo and the CTE to deliver the request within four hours, since “no documentation was required regarding the applicants nor were they requested to intervene in the CTE decisions.
The Chamber was warned that if it does not respond to the request, it will be entitled to the measures provided for in the law: reprimand, a fine of 518,700 pesos (5,000 Measurement and Update Units), and even arrest.
However, the Chamber of Deputies did not comply with the request, and in an agreement voted by the majority of the plenary session, it empowered the Jucopo to respond and on Thursday it will decide whether to appeal to the SCJN to refute the TEPJF ruling.
According to the Morenista Mier and the president of the board of directors of the Chamber, the PAN member Santiago Creel, the reaction is not in rejection of the fact that the INE must have a female president as ordered, a sentence that has not complied with and, in fact, already stepped aside.
blanket and note war
After last week they could not address the ruling issued last week in a United States court that ruled that the former Secretary of Public Security, Genaro García Luna, is responsible for drug trafficking, today the legislators got involved in the issue.
In the stands, Acción Nacional (PAN) asked that a note be read, where Jesús “El Rey” Zambada García acknowledged years ago that he gave 7 million dollars to a campaign official, presumably in favor of Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
In response, Morena and the Labor Party (PT) asked to read another, where the same criminal rejected that statement, which he originally made at the trial of Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán a few years ago.
And already in reading the newspapers they presented another one, to show that former president Felipe Calderón attended a luxurious party for the 70th birthday of former Spanish president José Aznar on Saturday, and for this reason he did not go to the rally on Sunday in the Zócalo against the electoral reform promoted by the “Fourth Transformation”.
They also fought for the spaces with the greatest visibility in the stands to place blankets.
Morena and PT placed two, one giant blue and white, the colors of the PAN, with the legend “guilty” and another with the photograph of García Luna and the blue and white logo.
But in front of them, in a “provocation that could lead to a physical confrontation”, warned the Morenista Leonel Godoy, another huge one, pink and white, from the Institutional Revolutionary (PRI) with the legend “SCJN: the future of democracy is in your hands. Do not fail Mexico!“.
Before, the PT took out its own, with the photograph of former president Felipe Calderón and García Luna with the caption “culPANbles”.
“Protectors of drug traffickers,” said PT Gerardo Fernández Noroña. “They are very raised by their fart march plus,” he added. The mobilization defended a payment of 9.1 million pesos to Lorenzo Córdova and 7.5 million for counselor Ciro Murayama, he argued.
With pink shirts and banners supporting the INE, the PAN members responded with Josefina Gamboa: “organized crime has them on their knees,” she told Morena.
Meanwhile, the petista Lilia Aguilar refuted that López Obrador had received money from the drug trafficker and threatened: “Calderón continues and I would like to know where Margarita Zavala is to deal with this.”
If Morena wants to destroy the INE for something, it is because she prevented a narco-election in 2021, that is what they intend to dismantle the INE, but not just the opposition, the people of Mexico will not allow it.

Zavala did not attend the plenary session. But Mariana Gómez del Campo, his niece, rebutted: “the person who was talked about in the García Luna trial was President López Obrador, today we live in a narco-state, more than 150,000 murders, we are worse than with Calderón and Peña Nieto, put your beards to soak!”.
Deputy Marcelino Castañeda, from the Party of the Democratic Revolution (PRD), stated that if García Luna were in the “fourth narco transformation, there would be a clown who would go up to the rostrum and shout: “Long live García Luna!”
“Not only are there accusations against López Obrador made in the courts of the United States, but with what has been declared in that country, Alfonso Durazo, governor of Sonora, former private secretary of García Luna, Alejandro Gertz Manero, former Secretary of Public Security, today Prosecutor, must be investigated. General of the Republic (FGR), and Renato Sales, current prosecutor of Campeche, who was in charge of buying the spy equipment that was mentioned in the US trial,” he added.
