In this way, the ruling party managed to move forward with the request for a trial against the Supreme Courtsince, after approving the admissibility of the files, the summary may be opened to accumulate the evidence that supports the accusation against the four members of the highest court.
The process will continue with the stage of collecting evidence and testimonies, to decide whether to issue an opinion, with which, if it is achieved, the request for impeachment against the Supreme Court He would be taken to the venue, where the future of judges Horacio Rosatti, Carlos Rosenkrantz, Juan Carlos Maqueda and Ricardo Lorenzetti would finally be decided.
In the 12-page document read by the president of the Commission, Carolina Gaillard, the 14 files that “they request the impeachment of the ministers of the Court, either individually or concurrently, for the reasons of poor performance and/or the eventual commission of crimes in the exercise of their functions”.
Likewise, it refers: “The 14 requests promoted accumulate more than 60 facts that would configure the causes authorized by the National Constitution of poor performance and crimes committed in the exercise of their functions and that -if proven- would result in very serious institutional violations”.
The letter also indicates that “the tenor of the complaints would be the prelude to a situation of extreme institutional gravity, which implies the rupture of the harmony that must be ensured within a Federal State and a republican and democratic regime.”
