The Chamber of Deputies unanimously approved and turned to the Senate a bill on Nursing training and development which points to strengthen the health system and ensure that there is permanent training with a new scholarship system.
The initiative was approved by 199 votes what were they contributed by the Front of All, Together for Change, Federal Interblock and the block United Provinceswhile there were four abstentions that corresponded to the left.
With the sanction of this initiative, the special session that lasted almost fourteen hours was concluded, where the Fiscal Consensus and extension of the voluntary surrender of arms projects became law, the extension of the validity of the taxes that expire in order to year, and an international agreement was approved.

The opinion of the majority of the Social Action and Health, Education and Budget commissions points to improve the quality of career paths, strengthen the health system increasing staff and nurses in your continuous training.

It also establishes that it seeks to provide resources to nursing training institutions and will establish a system of scholarships for students of public and private institutions throughout the country.
In addition, the opinion proposes to grant a permanent character to the National Nursing Training Program in the orbit of the Ministry of Education, although at this point it was established that there will be work with the Universities.
Opening the debate, the president of the Commission for Social Action and Public Health, Monica Fein (Socialist Party) said that “we are trying to improve the development of nursing” because we know “the irreplaceable role that nurses play in the health system.”
“After the pandemic, it is not necessary for us to explain the fundamental role that nurses guarantee, both in care and assistance and in management, together with members of the other health professions,” he added.
She stressed that “it is necessary and urgent to increase the number of nurses, in addition to promoting and improving nursing training and obviously with this project we are going to improve by law a program that has existed since 2016 in the Ministry of Education that has improved the number and quality of nurses.”
Meanwhile, the president of the education commission, white bear (FDT) said that “we feel great pride in advancing the law and we had a debt that we are paying off today” to accompany “the strong vocation to accompany the hierarchization of this profession.”
Osuna said that “this law is accompanying this hierarchization process” and as other legislators pointed out, he stressed that “nurses are lacking, this was demonstrated in the pandemic.”

For his part, the former Minister of Health of Jujuy and radical deputy, Gustavo Bacha Bouhidpointed out that “the leveling must always be done towards the universities. Nursing must have a university education. And this must be recognized throughout the country.”
In turn, the former Buenos Aires health minister and pro-government deputy Daniel Gollansaid that “today is a foundational day in terms of putting nursing where it should be. In my province, the province of Buenos Aires, nurses are part of the governing bodies of hospitals because they are professionals.”
In the particular discussion, Osuna was also in charge of reading the changes that were included in the majority opinion where it is established that although the Ministry of Education will be the enforcement authority, there will be cooperation with the Ministry of Health.
He also indicated that an article was added on the requirements that must be met, as well as the workload, and pointed out that postgraduate scholarships were also incorporated in the areas of critical specialties such as intensive care.
In addition, it was established that there will be an articulation between the Universities and the training institutions that must deal with training in the undergraduate and postgraduate career.
