On March 27, the Political Coordination Board (Jucopo) must submit to the Board of Directors the four quintets of the best-evaluated aspiring INE directors.
The Chamber of Deputies must approve on March 28 by a qualified majority, the four INE councilors for the period from April 4, 2023 to April 3, 2032.
If the vote of two thirds of the deputies is not reached, the list of applicants must be returned to Jucopo to analyze each of the applicants.
If consensus is not reached, a new session will be called, which must be held on March 30, 2023, in which the election of the four electoral advisers of the General Council of the National Electoral Institute will be carried out by means of insaculation.
