The final budget did not include any of the proposals issued in the open parliaments and despite the fact that it generated a record number of 1,994 reservations – almost 86% driven by the opposition – and its release took four days, with night breaks to rest, so that added up to almost 52 hours of debate.
All the proposals were ignored and that closed the door of an eventual negotiation of constitutional reforms, anticipated the National Action benches (PAN) and the Democratic Revolution (PRD), while the Institutional Revolutionary (PRI), who with 71 votes He is the only one who can carry out this type of reform together with Morena and allies, he qualified his position.
“If those attitudes are repeated (of not listening to proposals), when they want to discuss anything, well, yes, they kill everything. But we have said that we will wait for the open parliament for a debate, we are not like them, nor are we retaliatory ”, declared the coordinator of the PRI bench, Rubén Moreira.
“If this is how we go to other reforms, not only the electricity, to the National Guard or an electoral one, it will not work,” according to the PRI, because “Morena has a terrible inexperience to do politics.”
Contrary to that position, the PAN and the PRD declared it canceled.
“When the president comes to ask you for an account of his electricity reform, remind him that she is dead; write down the date of today, November 14, because López Obrador’s electricity reform is dead, and the stupidity of the parties that support him killed her, ”declared the PAN member Jorge Triana.
“We do not understand – he added – if it was due to inexperience, immaturity or simple fanaticism that there was not enough political office to be able to sit down and negotiate with those who know perfectly well that they are going to define the future of the constitutional reforms proposed by the president.”
Meanwhile, the PRD Miguen Ángel Torres threatened “do not demand a differentiated vote when the constitutional reforms arrive here,” although neither the PAN nor the PRD could influence the fate of the electricity counter-reform.
