SANTO DOMINGO.- The Chamber of Deputies declared urgency and approved in two consecutive readings, with some modifications, the General Budget bill of the State by the year 2025, amounting to one trillion 681,728 million pesos.
The legislative piece, submitted by the Executive powervia the Chamber of Deputies, now goes to the Senate for consideration in that room of the National Congress.

Prior to its approval, the president of the deputies, Alfredo Pachecosaid that the Bicameral Commission, composed of deputies and senators, designated to study the Budget, carried out extensive work in the analysis of the piece and presented a favorable report.
For his part, the president of the Bicameral Commission who learned about the project, deputy Francisco Paulino, explained that the expenses and income contained in the piece completely match and clarify what each item is going to be dedicated to.
“This Budget has as a rule to continue investing fundamentally on the people and that is why the investment spending that is planned has the goal of reducing poverty, which is one of the goals that the Central Government has for next year,” said Paulino.
Justification
In the communication to motivate the approval of the Budgetthe Executive Branch explained that it significantly addresses the allocation of resources for the protection of the most vulnerable segments of the population, while promoting an environment conducive to the development of productive sectors so that they can collaborate in the maintenance of sustained and stable economic growth in the Dominican Republic.

In addition, it reaffirms the commitment to direct the accounts prosecutors towards the path of sustainability and marks the starting point of the proposal for the restructuring and rationalization of the Public Administration, announced on September 16 by the Executive Branch.
