At the request of the Public Ministry, Néstor Daniel Querales Acosta, a 53-year-old worker at the Fundación Beneficencia del Carmen, was deprived of liberty for the alleged sexual abuse of a 60-year-old woman, an event that occurred on January 20 in the Santa Cruz urbanization in the Puerto Cabello municipality, Carabobo state.
That day, a friend of the victim came to the premises during a visit, at which time the sexagenarian confessed that Querales Acosta sexually abused her in her bedroom, taking advantage of her work status. Given this situation, the woman immediately went to the headquarters of the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigation Corps (Cicpc) to file the corresponding complaint.
After investigation work and expertise coordinated by the Public Ministry, the man’s responsibility in the incident was determined, which led to his arrest days later by Cicpc officials, in compliance with an arrest warrant issued by the 1st Control Court of Carabobo.
During the presentation hearing, the 8th Prosecutor’s Office of Carabobo charged the accused with the crime of a sexual act with a particularly vulnerable victim in a continuous degree. Once the elements of conviction presented by the prosecutor’s representation had been evaluated, the court issued a custodial measure against Querales Acosta, who was detained in the “El Libertador” Men’s New Training Center, located in Tocuyito, Carabobo state.
