Demonstrations in Medellín also ended in riots: balance of the day

In the commemoration of the 9 months since the beginning of the National Strike, the so-called First Line made a call through the different social networks to go out and protest in the streets of the city against the Government’s increases in SOAT, public transport, tolls, gasoline and food, products and services.

At the end of the afternoon of this January 28 in the first massive demonstration of the year in Medellin, there were clashes on the outskirts of the University of Antioquia between the Police and members of the First Line, Apparently the demonstrators wanted to violently enter the university campus facilities, a situation that generated a response from the authorities.

So far no injuries have been reported. Given this fact, Barranquilla street was closed for several hours due to the clashes.
