Demonstrations continue by students outside emblematic high schools in Santiago. On this day, students carried out disorders outside the Liceo Barros Borgoño, where an attempt was made to burn two public transport buses.

These events occurred in San Diego street, in the heart of Santiago, which ended with two people arrested and no injuries.

Major Marco Bahamondes of the Fourth Police Station in Santiago, in a conversation with 24 Horas, commented that “an incident was generated where a group of hooded men, with a lot of violence, left the school and later tried to burn two buses.”

According to police information, one of the drivers was able to leave the place after handing over the original keys of the bus to the protesters, keeping the spare ones that allowed him to flee. While the other micro was stranded in the place with obvious damage. The demonstrators threw Molotov cocktails and stoned public transport buses.

It should be remembered that students from Liceo Barros Borgoño intensified their protests last week, denouncing lack of teachers, deficiency in the delivery of food provided by Junaeb, higher educational quality and among others.
