The match Democratic Option reiterated this Monday its support for the Public ministry after starting the Operation Squidbecause it constitutes an important step towards the end of impunity in the country.
“We are sure that by respecting due process and enforcing the law, the courts of this country will be capable of producing justice,” the political organization said in a statement.
He also indicated that the lack of justice in the face of decades of administrative corruption is one of the great claims of Dominican society.
“That is why we have participated with great enthusiasm in each social demonstration called since January 2017,” said the opposition party.
However, he warned that justice can only be measured by how punishable acts end up being judged in court, not by how it begins or the expectations generated by the media, much less the useless equipment for the cause of Justice.
He affirmed that it is time for everyone to be accountable for their management of public resources, and for those who have violated the law to pay the consequences.
“The strengthening of justice and institutionality are fundamental axes of the good policy that we promote in Democratic Option. That is why we reiterate Public ministry our request that you expand the investigative efforts around the Operation Squidas well as investigate the complaints that involve officials of the present government”, he considered Democratic Option.
