“These families, of which there are around 40 in the western capital alone, were placed under that infrastructure, and we are going to have to move them taking into account the time they have, and as it is a rule of this government to respect the dignity of the people ”he explained.
Ascención said that the census carried out on residents under the 17th bridge, in the Gualey sector, has to do with families who built their homes under the bridge, “an area that today, with the intervention we are doing in the Francisco del Rosario Sánchez bridge for a security issue, we will have to mobilize them.”

He explained that the MOPC was helped by the Executing Unit for the Readaptation of Neighborhoods and Environments (Urbe)which has been carrying out the work on the avenue, so that it can collaborate in the socialization process with the families to be displaced, and be able to carry out the work without major setbacks.
“It is necessary to mobilize these families, due to the dangers of an iron or any heavy material falling on one of those houses. Bridge work
The engineer Romer Perezdirector of Bridge Maintenance at the MOPC, explained that currently a total cleaning is being done on the substructure, the metal part underneath.
