Delia Espinoza Today he sent a letter to the interim prosecutor of the Nation Tomás Gálvez demanding that he hand over the position, after the Judiciary ordered the reinstatement of the former as the highest authority of the Public Ministry.
In the document, which he accessed Peru21Espinoza invokes the resolution in his favor notified yesterday by the Ninth Constitutional Court of the Court of Lima that annuls the suspension against him ordered by the National Board of Justice (JNJ) in September.
“Considering that a new judicial provision has arisen through which the undersigned resumes the position of prosecutor of the Nation, it is necessary that he proceed to hand over his management as interim and designate who will chair the commission to transfer management to the undersigned,” said Espinoza Valenzuela.
Along these lines, he insisted that “it is appropriate to suspend the institutional efforts of the National Prosecutor, which will be resumed by the undersigned in my capacity as legitimate owner in said case.”
In its resolution, the Judiciary gave the JNJ 48 hours to finalize the return of the supreme prosecutor as head of the Public Ministry, a deadline that expires tomorrow, Wednesday.
Gálvez took over as interim after the separation of Espinoza, who was elected head of the institution in October 2024 by the Board of Supreme Prosecutors. His management ends in 2027.
