The Secretary of the Presidency, Alvaro Delgadopointed against the promoters of the Yes to the repeal of 135 articles of the Law of Urgent Consideration (LUC), after the radio and television channel broadcast this Tuesday. At closing act in Las Piedras (Canelones)expressed: “They just made a chain where they spoke very little about the articles again”.
He also criticized that “it is difficult for them to talk about the articles” and in the material -which lasted 5:33 minutes- “They talked again about a number of things that the law does not have”. The hierarch criticized that a campaign with “lies” was carried out.
“We are going to speak the truth, with tolerance and with respect because we always respect the opinion of others, even if we don’t like it,” he said.
In addition, he criticized the opposition for having voted for some of the articles that the Yes campaign is trying to repeal today and put into consideration for next Sunday. “The LUC will not be so bad that more than half of the articles were voted by the Broad Front. So bad it was not discussed. What’s more: he voted for some of the articles, particularly the one on fuels that today they want to repeal”, he said ironically.
In that sense, He asked the militancy to come out to “defend the popular will for change”. “There cannot be a leader, a militant and a voter of the government coalition, who between now and the 27th does not go out to distribute the ballot”, he harangued before those present.

For his part, the president had insisted that he would not respond to the chain, as agreed with the promoters of the Yes in the Executive Tower days ago. It was one of the requests that the leaders Rafael Michelini and José Olivera had made.
