Delegations in the parades must not exceed 150 people

The celebration of the national holidays is getting closer and with it come the parades, which is why on the morning of this Friday, October 7, the Minister of Education of Panama, Maruja Gorday de Villalobos, said that the student delegations or bands must have maximum 150 people.

He stressed that the passage will be fluid through the platforms and that each band must display their presentations in a mobilized way so that before 7:00 or 8:00 at night the parades have already finished.

Gorday explained that it is expected to have between 27 and 30 delegations maximum for each parade route. Let’s remember that Meduca has already announced two routes for the parades, the first that will start in Calle 50 and the second that will be in Plaza 5 de Mayo.

“What we have to generate, first is to comply with the schedules so as not to delay and secondly, guarantee the safety of those who participate in the events,” he said.

The minister also pointed out that there will be no health restrictions either within the delegations or for those who attend the parades; She, however, recalled that the Ministry of Health continues to recommend that biosecurity measures be maintained to prevent the spread of COVID-19, especially for people at risk such as the elderly, immunosuppressed and minors.
