Delcy Rodríguez: Venezuela overcame shortages

The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, highlighted that Venezuela experiences the lowest food shortage in the last 20 years, despite the innumerable coercive measures and the economic blockade to which it has been subjected in recent years.

In an interview with the Laiguana.tv portal, Rodríguez highlighted that Venezuela has been overcoming the economic crisis, and predicted an improvement for Venezuela in the remainder of the year, which implies a 5% growth, also projected by an organization such as ECLAC.

The Bolivarian Revolution: symbol of resistance

The Executive Vice President also highlighted that the Bolivarian Revolution represents for the peoples of the world a symbol of victorious resistance, before the sanctions and blockades of the United States.

He also highlighted the legacy of Commander Hugo Chávez to continue the fight hand in hand with President Nicolás Maduro.

“It has been a stage marked by great difficulties, but it has also allowed the Venezuelan people to build an epic that has earned them international praise and admiration. The peoples of the world see in the Bolivarian Revolution a symbol of victorious resistance. What we have lived through without the physical presence of the commander is not an easy thing, but with Chavista morale very strengthened and very directed towards directionality ”, he emphasized.

Addressing the electoral issue and the possible acts of sabotage planned by the opposition every time an event of this type approaches, he affirmed that Venezuela has learned to avoid destabilization, reflected in the economic war and the artificial devaluation of the currency, among other elements. “The people have learned how to defend themselves and come out on top,” said the vice president.

Regarding the difficulties that President Nicolás Maduro has had to face, he noted that “those who thought that physically killing the commander (Chávez) would put an end to the revolutionary process, made one of their worst historical mistakes. In this second phase, President Nicolás Maduro has been not only leading the country as head of state and government, but also exercising his leadership ”
