Delcy Rodríguez: Venezuela does not accept orders from any external factor

“The people of Venezuela do not accept orders from any external factor. The people of Venezuela have a government and this government obeys the people,” responded Vice President Delcy Rodríguez to US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, calling them offensive.

During the Public Consultation of the Partial Reform of the Organic Hydrocarbons Law, The president in charge launched her energetic response to the North American official, who affirmed that the Trump government will gradually lift the sanctions against Venezuela and assured that Washington will decide the right moment for free and fair elections to be held in Venezuela.

Rodríguez assured that “the people of Venezuela do not accept orders from any external factor. The people of Venezuela have a government and this government obeys the people. It is reciprocity in that relationship between the Venezuelan people, their authorities and their institutions,” he stated.

The president in charge assured that Venezuela is not afraid of respectful relations with the United States, but they must be respectful of the legality, dignity and history of Venezuela.
