When commemorating the twentieth anniversary of Telesur, the executive vice president of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, highlighted the consolidation that this information multiplatform, product of effort, professionalism and dedication, from that on July 24, 2005, when he broadcast his first broadcast, from the Teresa Carreño Theater, in Caracas, in Caracas.
During his opening speech of the Gala-Concentrate “The Birth of a World”, dedicated to the 20 years of Telesur, the high official transmitted the hug of the head of state, Nicolás Maduro to the president of Telesur, Patricia Villegas, and the workers who make possible the operation of the multiplatform, as published by the multiplatform in her social network.

Then, Rodríguez said that “we are talking about two decades where, anyone who connects to the Telesur screen or its social media platforms, is connecting to the truth, with reality, with the morality that disdains the work of the transnational communication.”
He added that Telesur makes «history in carrying not only the truth of Venezuela. Comandante Chávez said it when he opened the television signal for the first time, this is the voice of oppressed peoples, of peoples who do not access the great transnational communication.
Likewise, Rodríguez insisted on highlighting that Telesur has made history in relevant events such as the coup against the former president of Honduras, Manuel Zelaya, as well as all media stalking against Venezuela.
“Today we have Telesur with 20 years consolidated, with a very high awareness of his responsibility, in more than 100 countries in the world, in different languages,” he said.
Rodríguez thanked the directive and Telesur workers for disseminating the voice of the Palestinian people and denouncing Israel’s genocide, as well as making known the details of the Israeli invasion of Iran, demonstrating ethics in the communication exercise of journalism, attached to reality and truth.
Then, the Executive Vice President of the Republic said: “Happy birthday, Telesur, you have in the soul and in consciousness, commander Hugo Chávez and our roots of our Libertador Father.”
For her part, the president of Telesur, Patricia Villegas, joined the message of congratulations to all the staff that with effort makes possible the operation of the television plant.
In a recent interview, President Nicolás Maduro described the birth of Telesur as one of the great achievements of Chávez, Fidel, the Latin American and Caribbean Revolution of the 21st century.
