Jorge Rodríguez, president of Parliament, participated in the Congress of the Historical Block organized by the ruling party. According to the official deputy, socialism is “the solution to the ills that afflict humanity.” He asserted that congressional activity is a “fundamental tool to make the Bolivarian revolution irreversible” in Venezuela.
Vice President Delcy Rodríguez ruled out any possibility of negotiation with “extremist” sectors of the “ultra-right.” He said that these groups, now also based in Europe, promote violent actions that threaten peace in different nations, including Venezuela.
«We cannot give in to those who promote destabilization and chaos. There can be no negotiation or conciliation with fascism,” Rodríguez emphasized this Thursday, November 14, during the Great Congress of the Historical Block in which he highlighted that Venezuela has become an “enclave” for the defense of peace and life.
From the event, he referred to the “seven great transformations” that must be carried out in the country. In this sense, he highlighted that the first transformation seeks self-sustainable growth and the diversification of the economy, while the second proposes the creation of human cities in harmony with the rights of nature.
The vice president called for a political change that would “eliminate corruption.” Furthermore, he urged that a state be guaranteed at the service of society and that the “bourgeois State” be put to an end.

Finally, he reaffirmed Venezuela’s will to be an active member of Brics, defending a world where geopolitics is guided by “peace and not war.”

The president of Parliament demanded that officials of the Maduro administration avoid thinking that the solutions will come from outside. “Let’s not think that a deity is going to come down and fix things,” he said.
