Delcy Rodríguez said that Venezuelan petrochemicals are a boost to non-oil exports and to develop sectors such as agroindustry.
The vice president and Minister of Hydrocarbons, Delcy Rodríguez, carried out a visit to the José Antonio Anzoátegui General Division Petrochemical Complex – known as Jose -, in the state of Anzoátegui, in order to “strengthen the Hydrocarbon Engine” of the country during the anus.
Rodríguez, via Telegrampointed out that the growth of petrochemicals must be linked to the “productive chain” of the nation that focuses on non-oil exports, emphasizing that this process occurs in parallel in the development of the oil and gas industry that leads to the promotion of «new productive economic model».
“Venezuelan petrochemicals are a boost to non-oil exports, how we also influence, for example, the agroindustry of Colombia, where we have our company Monómeros, the urea leaves Venezuela,” he added.
He took the opportunity to praise the work of the industry workers and said that they are “committed” to Venezuela being able to define and carve out its future, looking for ways to keep the facilities operational due to the measures that weigh on the country.

“It is a working class committed to the sovereignty of the country, just remember in its history, the chapter of the 2002 coup, where they tried to stop the industry and the working class took the lead,” said Rodríguez.
The past January 20, Nicolás Maduro said that so far this month, one million 57 thousand barrels of oil per day (b/d) have been produced and indicated that “we are heading towards one million 500 thousand barrels per day, with our own efforts.”
After the same promise from the Executive several years ago about reaching one million barrels per day, Petróleos de Venezuela (Pdvsa) closed with one volume less than the goal. The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) reported that Venezuela produced an average of 921,000 barrels per day (bpd) of crude oil in 2024, which was an increase of 17.6% compared to 2023, when it averaged 783,000 bpd.
Likewise, Maduro indicated that the natural gas industry is stabilizing, after an explosion was recorded last November at the Muscar Operational Complex, belonging to the Punta de Mata Division of PDVSA, located in the Ezequiel Zamora municipality, Monagas state, the largest gas distributor in the country.
