Delcy Rodríguez in the face of imperial threat: no one is scared here

The executive vice president of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, led this Wednesday the closing of the Assembly of the People for the Sovereignty and Peace of Our America, from where she stated that despite the imperial threat, “no one is scared here,” Venezuelans continue to work and in peace.

«You know here no one is scared, here we are prepared and ready. Fishermen and fisherwomen are our first barrier against destroyers, against nuclear submarines, they are there taking care of our sea,” Rodríguez said.

Likewise, he highlighted the work carried out by Venezuelan fishermen who go out to sea daily, despite the fact that the United States (USA) maintains military troops deployed in the Caribbean.

“The fishermen and women of Venezuela are not afraid of any imperial power and they continue to go out with their nets to fish in our Caribbean Sea, exercising politics and economic sovereignty and they have had results with growth in this sector,” he indicated.

In that sense, the vice president thanked all those attending this assembly and noted that “there is no blockade that can withstand solidarity, there is no blockade that can with the love that the other peoples of the world have for Venezuela. “There is no threat or military aggression that can destroy this love for our people.”

On the other hand, Rodríguez spoke about the new “Trump Colorario” and stated that it is nothing more than an adaptation to these times of the Moroe Doctrine, where “the concept is born that the United States is the police of this hemisphere and that it can exercise police and military power” over the countries it wishes.

«Today the United States exercises two doctrines: the first, that of military power and the second has to do with economic aggression. “Which is what we call the economic Pentagon, which is the impact of unilateral coercive measures of illegitimate sanctions on the lives of people, it is as if silent bombs fell on the fundamental human rights of citizens,” he explained.

“You are Monroe and we are Bolívar”

In the same order of ideas, the vice president presented a long list of the great differences between the Liberator Simón Bolívar and James Monroe, the first being the father of the country, with a vision of the liberation of the people and the second a “racist” man, “obsessed” with expansionism.

“When we compare who Monroe was and who Bolívar was, we understand that if there is a contradiction, if it was a historical gap (…) that is alive today between the United States and Venezuela and it is not in vain that the United States administration today vindicates the Monroe doctrine,” he noted and stressed that this desire to have political and economic control over the world is born from this doctrine.

Rodríguez also specified that “Bolívar said it is not only about freeing ourselves from Spain, it is about not submitting to other powers (…) it is the same for Venezuela to fight against Spain as it is for anyone who attacks it,” referring to the fact that those thoughts are still alive today, in the face of the imperial threat.
