Delcy Rodríguez, Executive Vice President of the Republic, held a working meeting this Friday with a delegation from the International Red Cross and the Red Crescent in which Venezuela’s cooperation with these international institutions was reviewed.
The deputy president reported on Twitter that, on behalf of President Nicolás Maduro, his office attended the Qatar Media Luna Mission, which in cooperation with
the Red Cross of Venezuela and the Bolivarian Government” and stressed that both instances recently contributed “with the Comprehensive Care Plan for those affected by the rains that have worsened in our country in recent weeks.”
It is worth noting that in addition to the cooperation to face the effects of climatic events that recently put the country in mourning, both the International Red Cross and the Red Crescent have cooperated with Venezuela in the execution of plans, such as immunization against the covid pandemic. -19, and they were also an essential part of the vaccination process in Aragua state.
The meeting with the vice president was attended by the president of the Venezuelan Red Cross, David Castro; the director of the Executive Committee of the Venezuelan Red Cross, Luis Farías; the National Relief Director, José Ramón González and the Cooperation delegate of the Media Luna de Qatar.
