The Minister of Government, Eduardo del Castillo, released some inquiries about the case of sending a drug shipment to Spain from Viru Viru International Airport.
The first element to take into account is the presence of Mr. Kevin Anderson Vélez, a Colombian citizen with Spanish citizenship who would have entered the national territory on January 2 as part of the crew called Wamos Air (…). However, those who have knowledge of aeronautics know that the crew member arrives in a certain territory with his plane, concludes the operations and returns with his plane. This citizen stayed until March 4 before and after the shipment of drugs,” said the head of the Government.
Likewise, it indicated that the competent authorities investigating the case should focus on the actions carried out by this foreign citizen in national territory in addition to detailing that he left the country as a tourist for having dual nationality.
“The second element to consider is the person to whom the charge was directed, a minor of Spanish nationality. I wonder, in our country we can send merchandise to a company or an airline to a minor. Can a minor pick up a package at a final destination? How did they get a minor to be the final recipient of the courier company that sent this shipment?he questioned authority.
Finally, he suggested that the investigations take into account the operation of the security cameras of Naabol (Air Navigation and Bolivian Airports) that They did not record images that could clarify the case. He also questioned that in Spain there are no arrests in a case of seizure of drugs (67 thousand MDMA pills) that intended to enter Bolivia.
