FLINTS.- The top brass of the Armed Forces, headed by Lieutenant General Carlos Antonio Fernández Onofre, Minister of Defense, moved through the border area from Pedernales to Dajabón, supervising the troops and reaffirming their commitment to the loyalty and security of the country.
On his first visit to the border as Minister of DefenseFernández Onofre highlighted the commitment of military personnel to the defense of national sovereignty. During the supervision of the border fence, he noted that the finishing touches are being given to the structure.
The tour included a review of the troops and an inspection of the border fence, as well as an assessment of the conditions of the troops.
The Minister of Defense was accompanied by the Commander General of the Army, Major General Jorge Iván Camino Pérez (ERD), the Inspector General of the Armed Forces, Major General Delio Colón Rosario, the Director of Intelligence J-2, General Enrique Armando Aguilera Trujillo (ERD), the Director of Cesfront, General José Héctor Rodríguez Coste (ERD), and Colonel Raúl Mora Hernández, Commander of the 5th Brigade based in Barahona.
