Three members of criminal gangs were killed in clashes with police and military agents in Aragua and Zulia.
One of those killed was identified as Manuel Fernández (El Mamut), a member of the criminal gang Los Mecánicos, who participated in the murder of Lisbeth Gioconda Martínez Azuaje (58). This crime occurred early last Thursday in the victim’s home located in the San Pedro sector, Maracaibo, Zulia.
That day several individuals broke into the garage of the aforementioned home with the intention of stealing a vehicle. Lisbeth heard the movement, stopped and arrived at the parking lot of her house where one of the subjects stabbed her and then strangled her to death, according to reports. The criminals fled in Lisbeth’s Hyundai Accent, which was later recovered.
After initial investigations, officials from the Bolivarian National Police found El Mamut early this Saturday in the 19 de Abril neighborhood, west of Maracaibo, where he was killed.
And in the state of Aragua, two were killed, one of them identified as Anthony José Ortíz Pérez, alias El Marihuano, who faced a commission from the Cicpc and the Bolivarian National Police in the Los Angelinos sector, San Mateo. The other procedure in Aragua took place in Ocumare de la Costa, El Recreo sector, where a police-military commission confronted members of a criminal gang, one of whose members was killed.
In this case it is Gaudys Felipe Castillo Lizarraga, 45 years old, nicknamed El Manco, who barricaded himself in a house to attack the agents, according to the version collected.
