The five-point document was agreed upon at the meeting that began around 10:00 this Monday at the Government House. “This is a naked government. In the first point, the institutions express their support for the efforts of the departmental entity to regain their autonomy. The second point concerns the rescheduling of public debtwhich, according to Aguilera, the request has already been submitted to the national authorities.
“We consider this measure to be crucial to improving financial health of the institution, allowing it to fulfill all its commitments and ensure the continuity of public services,” he said.
In the third point, the acting governor stressed the importance of increasing the quality of the services that the Government provides to the population. “Better financial health will allow us not only to meet existing commitments, but also to generate new investment projects that have a positive impact on the regional economy (…).
A new fiscal pact was the request in the fourth point, to continue with the “commitment to regional development” and the budgetary replacement of the amount repealed to cover national competences, investments in the productive sector, reduction of obstacles to production, public-private partnerships and a concession model, among other measures.
Finally, Aguilera made a “call to solidarity and unity”in a fifth point. “We call on all institutions, sectors and citizens of Santa Cruz to join in this common effort. “We urge the national authorities to urgently and seriously consider the requirements presented by the government of Santa Cruz. Only through effective collaboration and a real commitment to regional development, we will be able to ensure a prosperous and sustainable future for all the people of Santa Cruz,” he concluded.
