The reform of the Communal Councils Law It was debated at the “Enrique Chaumer” College, in the La Pastora parish, in Caracas, where Popular Power participated. The information was provided by the head of Government of the Capital District, Nahum Fernandez on his social networks who pointed out that “Popular Power received this document created by the National Assembly (AN), where the ideals of the Bolivarian project consolidated in revolution are projected.”
Likewise, the “Higuito a Termopila” Communal Council was sworn in to “build the communal State and strengthen communal policies in all areas of our Homeland”. On this point, the head of the Government of Caracas indicated that “we are going to expand the forces of Popular Power throughout the national territory. The people deserve to be heard and cared for. For this, the Bolivarian Government works day by day, complying with the policies of social justice”.
The regulation has the objective of strengthening the democratic, participatory, direct and popular model, in order to fortify the assembly character of the communal councils, communes and other instances of Popular Power.
The Organic Law of the Communal Councils was created in 2006 and reformed in 2009. Currently, the Legislative Power is reviewing the regulations in depth today to guarantee direct democracy.
