The Subcommittee on Constitutional Accusations (SAC) of the Congress of the Republic will not vote today on the final report that recommends disqualifying the former president for 10 years Martin Vizcarra due to the closure of Parliament on September 30, 2019.
The congressman for Fuerza Popular, Héctor Ventura, requested the rescheduling of the support of the final report because he was not informed in due advance that this procedure would be carried out today. Consequently, it was reported, the procedure will be carried out next Tuesday, January 21.
Through a letter addressed to the head of the Subcommittee on Constitutional Accusations, María Acuña Peralta, the legislator specified that the agenda of the session was communicated to him only yesterday at 5:04 in the afternoon.

“I currently have various meetings scheduled that would prevent me from being present for due support,” he indicated. In this sense, he requested a rescheduling of the support at an early date.
The final report – which was to be submitted for debate and eventual approval today, Tuesday – proposes that former President Martín Vizcarra be disqualified for 10 years for the alleged violation of Article 134 of the Constitution.
Likewise, he proposes that the person who was the president of the Council of Ministers at the time of the dissolution of Parliament be disqualified for 5 years, Salvador del Solarand the same sanction is proposed to his successor in the premiership Vicente Zeballos.
It should be remembered that Martín Vizcarra already has two disqualifications in progress. The first of them was for 5 years for the exercise of public office due to his links with private companies during his management as Minister of Transport and Communications. Likewise, he has been disqualified from holding any public office for 10 years due to irregular vaccination with Sinopharm doses.
