Death on the Costanera remains without responsibility

Federico Mora, Chief of Staff of the Municipality of Asunción, gave a press conference on Tuesday morning. The objective was to announce the beginning of an expert opinion (report) on the tragic death of a young woman after being in contact with an electrified column. The incident occurred on the Asunción waterfront on Saturday night.

The public official pointed out that the objective of the expert opinion will be to determine the real causes of the death of the 18-year-old girl and to make a total survey of the state of the electrical installations of the waterfront.
“As a first measure, we agreed with the MOPC authorities to hold a meeting where solutions to this situation will be sought,” he stated.

He assured that the greatest concern is to provide security to citizens about the use of this road, which is so important for all Asuncion.

MARTINEZ
Esperanza Martínez, a national senator for the Guasu Front, criticized this fact on her social networks. He regretted that public institutions hold each other responsible, however, the family of the young victim does not receive any type of assistance.

“A young woman was electrocuted in a public space visited by thousands of people and so far the only reaction of those responsible is to blame each other. For the campaign if they work in a coordinated manner. The family and citizens must be investigated and given answers,” he posted.

CALL TO TESTIFY
Aldo Recalde, the father of the deceased girl, was summoned to testify for next Monday the 24th.

In addition, Sara Torres, prosecutor in the case, requested reports from ANDE, the Municipality of Asunción, the Hospital del Trauma and the Ministry of Public Works and Communications MOPC, on this fact.

PUBLIC WORKS
