Katherine Sotelo, mother of the eight-year-old girl who was supposedly contacted on social networks by Juan Felipe Rincón, told the station W Radio that she was not aware of that his daughter had an Instagram account through which she communicated with the young man on her cell phone.

“I realized it because I noticed she was nervous, I took her cell phone away from her and I read all the atrocities that Juan Felipe said to her (…) My daughter says that she has been talking to him for just three or four days” and that Juan Felipe plays with her a challenge called ‘truth or dare’, he stated.

According to the woman, in the conversations the young man asks the girl “photos of her vagina” and the minor tells her that she sends them to him but with an emoticon and adds that, apparently, Rincón “he had sent him photos of his private parts” to his daughter.

That’s why they summoned him on Sunday, making him believe it was the girl, according to Sotelo.

“We didn’t want to kill a boy because you don’t wish death on anyone, what I wanted was to talk to him, maybe slap him because that’s not done, but we were never going to know that he would arrive with a police officer who was not in his five senses. , that he was drugged and that everything was going to turn out like this, that he himself killed the one he had to defend, he himself shot my brother”, the woman added to the station.

For her part, Rincón’s mother, Dina Morales, told Noticias Caracol today that last May her son had reported the impersonation of one of his profiles on social networks and stated that the young man was set up.

“If they say that they wanted to confront him, it seems to me that that is a lie, because if I am going to confront someone, no matter how angry I am, I do not go armed (…) For me all this is a lie, “They set a trap for my son. For what purpose? I don’t know.”said.

Regarding the possibility that it was the bodyguard himself who shot his son in his effort to protect him during the fight, Morales assures that Rico always took care of him and that he considers that possibility. “a hypothesis and a lie.”

“I need Colombia to put its hand on its heart,” Morales said in a recorded video in which he asked: “Let the authorities be in charge of really saying what happened. Don’t squeeze me, don’t squeeze the wound any more.”
