In an interview with Radio Fe y Alegría, Herrera pointed out that the family also has an essential role in the training of minors because without the support of parents and representatives, the school cannot carry out its work.

In his opinion, education in the country is in “intensive therapy” because there is evidence of the absence of students in the classrooms, student dropout and deficiency in their verbal and numerical skills; coupled with the lack of motivation of teachers due to the low salaries they receive and the fact that there is no vocation to teach.

“Education authorities and managers must address this problem because we are risking the future of the country,” he added.

He asserted that humor must become part of education to improve the teaching-learning process, tools that can be acquired by sharing experiences with other communities.
