“Congressman Montoya attacks public universities and reiterates false associations against San Marcos, as he maintains that, in it, Sendero ‘threatens teachers.’ As a professor from San Marcos, I deny him and condemn his hate speech.which is fed by fake news,” he said.
Velázquez also stated that “The social figure of the student at the University of San Marcos is destroyed to dehumanize it.” and legitimize the violent repression” carried out by the Government to contain social protests, such as those that occurred last week that ended with one deceased (Eduardo Ruiz Sanz) and one injured (Luis Reyes Rodríguez) who is in a coma.
This position of the San Marcos dean is given not only by the statements of legislator Jorge Montoya but also by the statements of the Minister of the Interior, Vicente Tiburciowho said that “the most violent protesters were the UNMSM students”; as well as the unfortunate response of the parliamentarian, Fernando Rospigliosi, who pointed out that the deceased young man Eduardo Ruiz Sanz called himself “terruco” when in reality he was ‘Trvko’.

Well, in the notarial letter that bears the signature of its legal representative, Abelardo Rojas, the UNMSM responded that Montoya’s statements lack evidentiary support.

Despite the notarized letter, to date, Congressman Montoya has not spoken out or retracted his unfortunate statements.
