According to the electoral legislation, all resources received must be returned to the National Treasury and that cannot be attributed to any verifiable campaign expense in the rendering of electoral accounts for each party and candidacy.

The deadline for all male and female candidates to deliver the final campaign accounts also ends this Saturday (19).

Expense

In the case of resources from the Partidário Fund, which could also be applied in campaigns, all money transferred to candidates and which had no proven expenditure, must be transferred to the accounts of the state or national directories of each party. The same goes for resources from donations by individuals.

According to Electoral Justice statistics, 81.35% of the resources used in this year’s campaigns came from the National Treasury, the equivalent of more than R$ 5.2 billion. Another BRL 1.2 billion was received through private donations.
