Displaying all his joy and non-stop dancing throughout the journey and despite the intense wind with which he had to deal, Dayana Molina shone in her first pre-carnival, this Saturday night.
Dressed in a suit designed by Rodolfo Pinto, she appeared characterizing “the great queen Chané” and his allegorical car was no less striking, which was a giant cart that released smoke and serpentine as it passed.
Adorned by indigenous masks and potent crosses, the queen’s carriage, created by Luis Vincenti, referred to the fusion of Spanish culture with indigenous culture in the origins of Santa Cruz de la Sierra.
The main theme of this Saturday’s pre-carnival was the first transfer of Santa Cruz de la Sierra. That is why the coronadores appeared characterized as Spanish conquerors and carrying in one hand an image of the potentized cross, while their partners did so as chané women dressed in a red suit, which characterizes the Picarazos, a feathered headdress and a spear.
All the enthusiasm shown by the queen and the folk groups in their presentations They made us almost forget that last year the carnival festivities were suspended due to the pandemic.
It should be noted that andThe attending public responded with greetings and much applause to the passing of the queen and proved that the wait was worth it.
