SECOND REPORT
At noon this Friday, March 11, virtual sales of the day without VAT rose to $272 billion. It is worth remembering that the sector’s goal is around $650,000 million.
The amount represents some 590,000 approved digital transactions.
As explained by the CCCE, the search intention of consumers on the first day without VAT of 2022 showed a growth of 41.5% compared to an average Friday in February 2022.
“On this occasion, the distance between the dates of the days without VAT has favored the availability of inventories, in addition to the fact that the visibility of the date and the preparation time for companies has been key to the success of the day. We have shown that the user experience in the different electronic stores has been very favorable throughout the day”, concluded the CCCE.
Free market assured that the most searched products on its website have been iPhone 11, Samsung Flat Led Smart TV, Samsung Galaxy A52s, Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 and Imusa air fryer, and that the average sale ticket has been $300,000.
And the ‘marketplace’ Linio reported that the best-selling product is a television samsung 50 inch and that the average sales ticket has been $560,000. What comparators are looking for the most on their website: TV, cell phones and laptops.
CredibanCo, For its part, it reported 352,233 transactions nationwide, of which 54% have been through e-commerce and 46%, in person sales. More than $113,449 have been billed and the average ticket has been $322,085.
And Redeban commented that its turnover for the day totals, so far, $203,933 million, both in face-to-face and online sales.
FIRST REPORT
In her first official report, the Minister of Commerce, María Ximena Lombana, pointed out that in the first 8 hours of the day, 151,000 transactions digital approved and go $93,000 million pesos in sales.
According to Colombian Chamber of Electronic Commerce (CCCE), the value of sales decreases 23% compared to the first day without VAT of 2021, while it falls 3% compared to the second day without VAT of last year. And, compared to the third day of 2021, there is a 44% growth in the value of sales.

“36% are exempt products, mainly sales are taking place in Bogotá, Antioquia, Valle, Cundinamarca and Atlántico. These figures are important because they allow us to generate traceability, we are currently reviewing 17,795 million pesos in invoices that are being audited by algorithms”, explained the official.
If validated, the amount recorded on the day would be in $512.00 million, which shows that in this new edition of the day without VAT, trade and the supply chain are moving, warned Junco.

At 7 am, CredibanCo reported 163,193 transactions nationwide, of which 69% have been through e-commerce and 31% in face-to-face sales, equivalent to a turnover of $53,685 million and an average ticket of $328,969.
Redeban, For its part, it assured that 62,270 purchases have been made through its payment network, with movements of $31,030 million.
Jaime Alberto Cabal, president of Fenalco, He said that, in the midst of difficulties, merchants have made efforts to be supplied and that the expectation of sales in the sector is in $8 billion. He said that in several intermediate cities the stores are open from five in the morning.

And the Superintendent of Industry, Andres Barreto, He said that his officials are pending in several cities of the country to ensure the rights of consumers and that the first reports are normal.
