(Third dose: for whom? When? And with what vaccine is it recommended?).
According to the document, the National Government will give a day off in the first quarter of 2022 to all public servants and official workers who In the month of December, complete their vaccination schedules or apply booster doses in the times and cycles established by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection.
The National Government also urged the private sector to adopt the same initiative. This day off will be paid as reported this morning by Víctor Muñoz, director of the Administrative Department of the Presidency (Dapre).
Muñoz also pointed out that “This is an issue that will be coordinated through the human resources offices of the different public entities and will be looked at based on the schedules or calendars they have.”
(Would the omicron variant reduce the effectiveness of vaccines?).
Compliance with this measure of the decree will be done in a coordinated manner between entities and employers, but the former will define the date on which access can be made and whether it will be massive or individually, depending on each worker.
It is important to note that this benefit does not apply to those who have completed the vaccination schedule before starting December, but does apply to those who receive the booster dose within the times established by the National Government.
The director of Dapre also emphasized that the decree does not include the complete vaccination scheme as a requirement to enter the work facilities, but he pointed out that in capacity of 100% they will always continue to demand the vaccination card.
