Date of interviews at the United States embassy in Havana changed

OnCubaNews

Cubans who have appointments scheduled at the United States embassy in Havana for January 3, 2023 must attend on Thursday, December 29, since the appointments were brought forward due to technical problems, reported a statement from the diplomatic headquarters.

“Those applicants with interviews scheduled for January 3, please check your email for more information on the new appointment,” indicates the note without specifying more details.

The US government announced months ago that its embassy in Havana will resume full processing of immigrant visas as of January 4, 2023 to include the immediate family visa categories, family preference, diversity visa and K visa of fiancé.

This increase is part of the broader expansion of the embassy’s functions to facilitate diplomatic and civil society engagement, and provide safe, legal, and orderly migration options for Cuban citizens, the State Department said.
