The Association of Hotels and Tourism of the Dominican Republic, Asonahores, announced this Tuesday the twenty-first edition of the fair Dominican Annual Tourism Exchange (DATE), to be held from May 11 to 13, at the Barceló Bávaro Convention Center, in Punta Cana.
Executive Vice President of asonahores, Andres Marranzini Grullon, explained that this year they will innovate with respect to the stand and the format that will be offered to guarantee that buyers and suppliers have space to develop their business appointment.
“Date is a totally professional event, it is not open to the public, it is only for industry participants, which makes it much easier for interaction to be guaranteed to generate business for hotels and national producers”, He said.
Marranzini explained that with this new edition Asonahores seeks to support the different segments and the great diversity of Dominican tourism products to ensure that all suppliers can have an active presence.
He said that the event will have more than 100 national and international communications media and they project a participation of 100 supplier companies Y 121 buyers.
“In this new edition, events will be held in order to promote all the cultural and gastronomic attractions of the country, including: exhibition of paintings, handicrafts, musical groups and artistic groups,” he said.
He also reported that the “DATE Awards” will be held, recognizing companies in the tourism sector that stand out for their commitment and contribution to the growth of the industry in the areas of: Airline, Online Travel Agency (OTA), Receptive Tour Operator- DMC and International Tour Operator.
